Incorporated into the large scale King Edward Village mixed-use project the Kensington Branch of the Vancouver Public Library nestles into the new open courtyard with its main entry away from the hustle and bustle of Kingsway and Knight. The large scale book bindings are a playful way to conceal what would otherwise be the blank wall of the back of a large grocery store above. With educational facilities, meeting rooms, quiet study areas and an open learning / play area for the very young, VPL considers this library to be one of their most successful branches.
